Chocolate Molds With Household Items

Image
My girlfriend likes dinosaurs, and everybody loves chocolate... so why not combine both and make a nice gift for her! It was christmas eve and I couldn't decide what to give her, when suddenly it hit me: chocolate dinosaurs, but I needed special items for it's manufacture. This is how I came up with this. Note that there are better ways for doing this, but if you are in a hurry and you can't go and buy silicone putty or stuff like that, this instructable could save you. Yoy will need: -Silicone gun -Childrens modeling clay -Regular food oil -Plain chocolate, not filled or anything. -Metal pan for the melting

Top 10 Awesome Things You Can Do With Household Objects

Image
Since man first stuck his hand in fire and proclaimed “Ugh! Uaahh!” we’ve had an unhealthy obsession with tinkering with anything we can get our hands on. More often than not, these things end poorly, like super-heated water  exploding in the microwave  but, every now and then, we figure out something really awesome to do. And you’d be surprised how many of these things you can do in your own home. 10. Growing Soap To More Than Ten Times Its Size Everyone has at least one bar of soap in their house, or  should  at any rate. We used to think that soap was only good for two things: cleaning and  military -grade shower beatings. But a lot of people don’t realize that you can take ivory soap and make it expand exponentially, simply by sticking it in the microwave. We know what you’re thinking, and no; we didn’t just chuck shaving cream in there, and claim it was the same bar of soap. If you don’t believe us, try it for yourself or, better ...

Make Wood Rings (No Tools Required)

Image
In this tutorial video I show how to make wooden rings out of veneer. This is a great project that doesn't require many tools. In fact all you really need is some super glue, a knife, sandpaper and some tape. Having a lathe or a drill will most definitely help speed up the process. Even if you're not a woodworker you probably already have all the tools necessary for this quick and simple project. I did find that the first couple rings I made were a bit sloppy but by the time you make your third one you'll get the hang of it and make some beautiful bentwood rings. I used this technique to make my own wedding rings for myself and my wife. It's a very rewarding project and suggest you give it a try yourself! If you're using a drill bit as your template you'll need to find the equivalent bit size in MM. Ring sizes in MM can be found here.

Every time I drive up to my house I sigh just a little. My neighbors have gorgeous flowers out in their yards – pots and plants and bushes – while I have seven hundred bikes, trikes, and scooters scattered across my yard. I’m not so good with flowers – you actually have to pay attention to them occasionally and give them water and all. I think I’ve killed every houseplant I’ve ever owned. So I’ve been loving all the paper flowers I’ve seen cropping up across the internet – I can’t believe how gorgeous and realistic many of them look. Plus I gotta say I really like the idea of beautiful blooms that will stay pretty for months with no extra effort required.
