20 pretty DIY paper flower tutorials

Every time I drive up to my house I sigh just a little. My neighbors have gorgeous flowers out in their yards – pots and plants and bushes – while I have seven hundred bikes, trikes, and scooters scattered across my yard. I’m not so good with flowers – you actually have to pay attention to them occasionally and give them water and all. I think I’ve killed every houseplant I’ve ever owned. So I’ve been loving all the paper flowers I’ve seen cropping up across the internet – I can’t believe how gorgeous and realistic many of them look. Plus I gotta say I really like the idea of beautiful blooms that will stay pretty for months with no extra effort required.

Yesterday I was watching  Russia Today  news channel when I saw an interesting report about the Montreal Students Protest. The report was about the perseverance of protestors who have been demonstrating for more than 100 days against the announced hike in the tuition fees at the state universities, despite the constant clashes with the police, pepper spray and over 2,500 arrests (so far). Associational blocks

This is a pretty strong image! It portrays images of very strong negative connotations. One of the things I teach my students is the way that certain aspects of living, life, understand of the two can cause what is known as blocks. In this case it is an 'associational block'. What is meant by this? If you look at the image as an image and not as a nuclear explosion then you will see quite a good image. The colours are vivid, the proportions are correct and it has a depth and strength to it. The whole point of this is the aim to express the need to detach from one piece of information that may trigger adverse reaction simply because you have this information in your head. This affect works on many levels.
