Ramzan Special Chicken White Korma

Ingredients 1 kg chicken pieces 1/2 k.g yogurt 1/2 cup almond paste 1/2 cup cream 1 tsp garam malasa powder 1 pinch of nutmeg powder 1 tbsp white pepper powder 2 tbsp ginger garlic paste 2 sticks of cinnamon 3 black cardamoms 8 green cardamoms 6 cloves 1 large size onion paste or 2 small size 5 tbsp oil or ghee salt to taste 2 tbsp green chillies paste. Directions Heat oil in a pan, add cloves,cinnamon,blk and green cardamoms cook till they sizzle. Add chicken and cook for 5 minutes or till it changes color. Now add ginger garlic and onion paste.Cook till oil separates, Mix yogurt, white pepper, salt, garam masala powder, nutmeg and green chillies paste in a bowl. Add this mixture to the chicken and a low flame cook for 10-15 minutes. Add cream and almond paste to the pot and cook for another 3-4 minutes. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve.

Montreal Students Protest – Creative VS Stale Thinking in the Battle for Student Rights

Yesterday I was watching  Russia Today  news channel when I saw an interesting report about the Montreal Students Protest. The report was about the perseverance of protestors who have been demonstrating for more than 100 days against the announced hike in the tuition fees at the state universities, despite the constant clashes with the police, pepper spray and over 2,500 arrests (so far). What struck me most about this incident was the apparent difference in thinking between the students and the state officials which is having effect on the course of the events taking place in Quebec, and maybe soon in other Canadian provinces. While students have been flexible and creative in their thinking, the state displayed rigid, non-creative thinking attitude that seems to be backfiring on it.
